Clayton C. “Sonny” Bennett, 83, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013, at home. He was born in Chester, Pa., on Oct. 2, 1929. He was a retired steel worker, having worked at Phoenix Steel, and was an avid hunter, fisherman and gun collector.

Esther R. Bernheisel, 74, of Millsboro, Del., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del. She was born Dec. 19, 1938, in Ephrata, Pa., daughter of the late Mervin Sipe and Margaret Blain Sipe.

Beloved neighbor and friend Josephine Pastore Bizzoco of Dagsboro, Del., formerly of Glen Echo Heights, Md., passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, of complications resulting from pneumonia in the Atlantic Shores care facility in Millsboro, Del.

Rosa Vargas de Figueroa, 85, of Millsboro, Del., passed away at Delaware Hospice in Milford, Del., on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on April 1, 1928, she was the daughter of Julio Vargas and Ramonita Rodriguez de Vargas.

Anthony J. “Deedle” Jacono Jr., 37, of Dagsboro Del., passed away suddenly on Friday, May 10, 2013.

Jacono worked for Jacono’s Landscaping for a number of years. Besides living his life to the fullest extent, he was especially fond of spending time with his daughters, Antonia and Gianna, who meant the world to him, as well as his nieces and nephews, and all of his loved ones.

L. Templar Titus Jr., 77, of Ellijay, Ga., formerly of Leesburg, Va., passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at the Heritage Healthcare Center of Blue Ridge, Ga.

Evelyn C. Adams, 71, of Bishopville, Md., passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late James A. and Martha (Kershner) Payne.

Virginia E. Adams, 86, of Laurel, Del., formerly of Long Neck, Del., passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013.

Richard Breese, 78, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Linwood, Pa., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family Monday, April 22, 2013, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del.

Roxie K. Cooper, 93, of Ocean View, Del., passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, at her son’s home in Dagsboro, Del.

Kevin Freeman Johnson, 52, of Millsboro, Del., passed away, surrounded by his loving family, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del., on Wednesday, April 24, 2013.

Alice H. Mund, 84, of Lewes, Del., passed away peacefully Sunday, March 10, 2013, at her residence. She was well cared for by Compassionate Care Hospice of Delmar. Mund was born June 4, 1928, in New Haven, Conn., daughter of the late Allen Jackson and Kate (Boles) Hill.

Patricia Sazama-Petrov, 52, of Ocean View, Del., passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013. She was the beloved wife and soulmate of Vladimir John Petrov; dear daughter of Audrey Hyatt Sazama and the late William Joseph Sazama; dear sister of Cynthia Richardson and Sharyn Sazama-Moreau; dear niece of Patricia and the late Hillyer Smith, and of James and Susan Sazama.

Fillmore Vernon Schmidt, 81, of Selbyville, Del., passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Berlin Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Berlin, Md. He was born in Baltimore, Md., son of the late Fillmore C. and Katherine (Eckert) Schmidt.

Kenneth V. “Ken” Brady, 85, of Rehoboth Beach, Del., passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at home in Rehoboth Beach. He was born in McKeesport, Pa., on Dec. 29, 1927, son of the late Vernon E. Brady and Eva E. Himes Brady.

William Wesley Buchanan, 66, of Lewes, Del., passed away at home in the arms of his loving wife on Tuesday, April 16, 2013.

Lawrence R. “Bob” Callahan, 75, of Selbyville, Del., and formerly of Baltimore, Md., passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md. He was born in Baltimore, son of the late Lawrence R. Callahan Sr. and Genevieve (Smith) Callahan.

Philip “Greg” Callahan, 50, of Bridgeville, Del., passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 19, 1962, son of Philip T. and Betty (Moore) Callahan.

Joseph E. Clough, 88, of Ocean View, Del., passed away Monday, April 15, 2013, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del. He was born in Wilmington, Del., on Aug. 31, 1924, son of the late Edgar Thomas and Anna Mae (Garvey) Clough.

Milton G. Eisenhardt, 82, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Baltimore City, Md., passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, April 19, 2013.

Edward Laurence Kieffer, 75, of Lewes, Del., passed away peacefully Monday, April 8, 2013, at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa. He was born Nov. 12, 1937, in Lewes, Del., son of the late Edward and Mildred (Buchanan) Kieffer.

Evelyn Knight, 80, of Millsboro, Del., passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the age of 80.

Knight was born on May 9, 1932, in West Chester, Pa., to the late Warren M. and Thelma Voss Rowe. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jerl Knight, in 2004, and brother-in-law, Kester Knight.

Evelyn R. Langrall, 91, of Millsboro, Del., passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del.

Langrall was born in Gumboro, daughter of the late, Thomas and Elizabeth (Wells) Moore. She sold Stanly Home Products for several years.

Evelyn M. Dunbar of Millsboro, Del., passed away Friday, April 5, 2013. She was 87 years old.
Dunbar was born March 8, 1926, in Roseville, Pa., to the late Ernest M. and Rennie C. Knickerbocker Crumb.

Alice K. Ellis, 91, of Millsboro, Del., passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2013, at the Delaware Veterans Home in Milford, Del., with her loving family by her side. Ellis was born May 16, 1921, in St. John, Thibodaux, La., daughter of the late Andrew and Adeline Schexnayder Keller.

Kenneth O. Grinnell, 63, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Harford County, Md., passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del., as the result of an automobile accident.

Ruth T. Hazzard, 94, of Selbyville, Del., passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Berlin Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Md. She was born in Bishopville, Md., daughter of the late Josiah E. and Frances (Bunting) Timmons.

Annette Emily Holston, 34, of Milton, Del., passed away in the loving care of her family on Monday, April 15, 2013, at home. She was born in Milford, Del., on Dec. 31, 1978, daughter of Ralph W. Holston Jr. and Tanya Mitchell Holston.

William Edward “Bill” Kardash Jr., 68, of Dagsboro, Del., passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013, after a long battle with cancer.
