Charlotte L. Parsons, 77, of Millsboro, Del., passed away in the loving care of her family, at home, on Feb. 17, 2013. She was born in Clarksville, Del., on Jan. 22, 1936, to the late Charles E. and Nina E. Toomey Littleton. She was a high-school graduate, and in 1954 she married her husband, Richard Parsons, with whom she enjoyed 56 years of marriage and raised six children.

Marietta “Lolee” A. Cassese, 71, of Lewes, Del., formerly of Bergen County, N.J., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del. She was born July 20, 1941, in Union City, N.J., daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Le Bert de Bar) Russo.

Margaret W. Stortz, 88, of Rehoboth Beach, Del., passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, following a series of health issues. She was born Sept. 14, 1924, in Bayonne, N.J., the youngest daughter of William J. and Nancy B. Ward.

Henry Francis Fortna, 93, of Georgetown, Del., formerly of Lewes, Del., passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown. He was born Aug. 1, 1919, in Womelsdorf, Pa., son of the late Edward W. and Emma (Shoener) Fortna.

Richard G. Grundy, 82, of Ocean View, Del., passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del. He was born Saturday, March 22, 1930, in Newark, N.J., son of the late Frederic and Margaret (Coburn) Grundy. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Hancock, in 2001 and his brother Robert E. Grundy, formerly of Florida.

Earl H. Kinsey of Dagsboro, Del., formerly of York Haven, Pa., passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the age of 78.

Leona “Lee” Macrane, 76, of Milton, Del., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, with her husband at her side, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del. She was born Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late Lloyd and Margarite (Melson) Wilkinson.

Barbara Ann Miller, 60, of Millsboro, Del., passed away in the loving care of her family, at home, on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. Born May 5, 1952, in Lewes, Del., she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Nettie Carey Fisher. She was retired as a title searcher for the law firm of D. Stephen Parsons. She attended Hickory Hill United Methodist Church.

Therman B. Miller, 70, a beloved church leader, family man, hard worker and friend to so many passed away suddenly on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del. He was born Sept. 24, 1942, in Seaford, Del., to the late Harry and Ann Jefferson Miller.

Genevieve Sherer Penuel, 80, of Dagsboro, Del., passed away at Milford Memorial Hospital on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013. She was born in Roxana, Del., to the late Edward Elijah and Susie Fish Rickards Sherer.

Lisa Marie Thompson, 36, of Milford, Del., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.

Francis von Essen, 84, of Felton, Del., formerly of Long Island, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013.

Gerald E. “J.R.” Wingate Jr., 45, of Georgetown, Del., passed away at his home on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.

Jacob P. “Jake” Boyce III, 74, of Lewes, Del., passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was born Oct. 9, 1938, in Darby, Pa., son of the late Jacob P. Boyce II and Doris (Flounders) Boyce.

Calvin Lester Bivens of Frankford, Del., departed this life Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del., at the age of 59.

Elsie Mae Greenwalt, 71, of Georgetown, Del., passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. Born Aug. 20, 1941, in Berlin, Md., she was the daughter of the late Calvin P. and Iva Esham Jarman.

Leona “Lee” Macrane, 76, of Milton, Del., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del., She was born Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late Lloyd and Margarite (Melson) Wilkinson.

William D. Madden Sr., 75, of Dagsboro, Del., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013.

Florence I. Morrissey, 86, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Ridley Township, Pa., passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 1, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Morrissey, to whom she was married for 66 years. She was a resident of Ridley Township for 60 years before moving to North Port, Fla., where she lived for 15 years before moving to Millsboro.

Alice M. O’Mara, 75, of Dagsboro, Del., and formerly of Chester, Mass., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del. She was born in Springfield, Mass., daughter of the late Phillip and Alice (Cox) Arnold and sister of the late Thomas Arnold.

O’Mara was a homemaker and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bethany Beach, Del.

Irma Catherine “Erma” Pittman, 89, of Ocean View, Del., passed away at home Monday, Feb. 4, 2013.

Gladys T. Powers, 93, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Virtua Rehab in Mount Holly, N.J.

Michael Wayne Robbins of Millsboro, Del., passed away on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013. He was 64 years old.
Robbins was born in Sea Isle City, N.J., to the late Wilmer and Viola Bell Robbins. He worked for the Atlantic City Sanitation Department.

He is survived by his siblings John, Peggy, Ann, Donna, Sharon and Michael.

Dominick Scaglione, 70, of Rehoboth Beach, Del., passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his beloved family and friends, on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013. He was born Dec. 24, 1942, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late Frank and Anna Scaglione.

Paul J. Widitz, 82, of Selbyville, Del., and formerly of Columbia, Md. passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md. He was born in Hazelton, Pa., son of the late Joseph Thomas and Columba Emma (Zebelin) Widitz.

Frances Elaine Wilson, 57, of Lewes, Del., passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del.

Wilson was born Jan. 11, 1956, in Baltimore, Md. She thoroughly enjoyed a great day fishing and was remembered as wonderful photographer.

Wilson is survived by her brother, Allan T. Funk, of Glen Burnie, Md.

Frank “Moose” “Yogi” Yodice Sr., 88, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Wayne, N.J., passed away on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013.

George P. Betty, 83, of Millsboro, Del., and formerly of Wilmington, Del., passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013. Born on June 9, 1929, in Wilmington, he was the son of the late George B. and Viola Jester Betty.

Elisha Dale Gray, 79, of Selbyville, Del., formerly of Bishopville, Md., passed away at his home on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.
