31st Annual Health and Awareness fair

The Roxana CHEER Senior Center is hosting its 31st Older Americans’ Health and Awareness Fair on May 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The fair will be held at the senior center in the Edward Pyle State Service Building located on Route 20 in Frankford.

Area hospitals and health organizations will be providing FREE health screenings and informational booths. Types of screenings will include foot, glucose, bone density, vision and glaucoma, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings.

Senator Thomas Carper’s office will be sending a representative who will be available for your questions or comments regarding various issues including Medicare, Social Security, Veterans and the State of Delaware.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day with lunch being served at noon. Bud Scott will be providing entertainment from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The seniors will also be having a bake sale to help earn money for the Roxana Senior Membership. All are welcomed to attend.
