Beauty at the Beach offering service samples June 10
In the eternal words of George Gershwin, “summer time and the livin’ is easy.” The sunshine has returned in Delaware, and warmer weather means it’s finally time to catch some well-earned R&R. In Sea Colony’s Marketplace, Paula Miller and the employees of Beauty at the Beach Salon are all set to make everyone’s summer as relaxing as possible, and next Wednesday, June 10, from 5 to 8 p.m., they will be celebrating the summer season with an evening packed full of pampering.

The crew at Beauty at the Beach in the Sea Colony Marketplace are enjoying their newly remodeled digs and will celebrate with a night of free pampering, snacks and drinks on Wednesday, June 10, from 5 to 8 p.m.
“We’ve just finished remodeling the salon from head to toe,” noted Miller. “We wanted to give the place a new, fresh and contemporary look. We’ve had the whole place repainted ‘Beauty at the Beach Red,’ and our business has been picking up, so we thought that this would be a great way to give a little something back to our clients.”
Beauty at the Beach will be serving snacks and drinks on June 10, as well as offering free services from the salon. Visitors will be able to get a free trim, shampoo/blow dry, mini-mani/pedi or micro-link extensions. The salon will also be offering a special VIP card, providing a 10 percent discount at the salon for the entire year.
“Our goal,” explained Miller, “was to give the salon a chic New York style, while maintaining the hometown feel that our clients are used to. This is a family-owned salon, and we treat our clients like they are part of that family. We like to make sure that people get a coffee the way they like it while they’re here. We want to get to know our clients. I like how everyone knows everyone in the salon.”
Besides the inviting atmosphere, Beauty at the Beach has a wide variety of services and products that are not always found elsewhere.
“We’re the only salon in Bethany that carries the Bare Essentials line of products, and the Tocco Magico hair-coloring system. Both of those products are all natural,” said Miller. “Natural hair-coloring systems tingle like shampoo, instead of burning like bleach, because they have no ammonia in them. Our micro-link extensions work like a fusion extension, only there is no heat involved. They only require adjustment every three months, and they last for a year.”
Beauty at the beach also offers a full line of salon services; everything from a simple haircut or nail care to massage and ear candling. They have an extensive line of products, both new and traditional, and a wide expertise in the salon industry.
If customers like what they get in the salon, it’s just as easy for them to take the experience home with them. All of the products used in the salon are available for customer purchase.
“We have the entire Bare Essentials line available individually, or in a makeup kit, containing everything from acne cleanser, face-wash, skin brighteners and moisturizers; as well as the makeup and brushes.”
Beauty at the Beach will be open all summer long, six days a week. Their hours are: Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to p.m. To set up an appointment, call (302) 539-7252, or 888-539-7252 from outside the area.
