Bonita E. Baker, 55

Bonita E. Baker, 55, of Gumboro, Del., passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del., surrounded by the loving care of her family.

Born Jan. 8, 1957, in Milford, Del., Baker was known as was a delightful, strong-willed and determined woman who possessed great inner and outer beauty. She was a treasured homemaker and very devoted to her family, especially her son and her husband. Baker loved shopping, decorating, antiques and collectibles. She was remembered as always being a great wife, mother and best friend.

Baker is survived by her parents, Franklin P. Hudson Sr., and Jeanette Gordon Hudson; her husband of 23 years and seven months, Rusty Baker; her beloved son, Matthew; sister, Terry Fleming of Georgetown; four brothers, Jerry Hudson, and his wife, Arlene, Tom Hudson, and his wife, Carol, all of Millsboro, Del., Frank Hudson Jr. of Ocean View, Del., and Richard Hudson of Greenwood, Del.; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; and her beloved feline friends Socks and Sweety.

A celebration of Baker’s life was scheduled for July 21, 2012, at Gumboro Wesleyan Church in Gumboro, Del., with interment at the Line Cemetery in Whitesville. Floral tributes are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to National Kidney Foundation of Maryland; 1301 York Rd., Suite 404; Lutherville, MD 21093-6007, to whom the family expressed great gratitude for their help during Baker’s illness.
