Kung fu fighting

It’s a holiday, but no slacking off. I was unlocking things like a master jewel thief today. New yoga and strength-training exercises, new balance games and, finally, Rhythm Boxing. This is probably going to be my favorite activity in Wii Fit. Many years after my last karate class, I’m finding I’m using muscles I haven’t used in a long time. I’m probably going to regret that in a day or two, but it feels great to be throwing a few punches again.
Weight is up again, but I am definitely attributing it to muscle gain at this point. There’s a lot of muscle work involved in these balance games, as well as the aerobic, yoga and strength training elements. Ski Jump seems to be my forte now that I’ve figured out to lean forward for maximum speed, but it does make you use your leg and foot muscles. Penguin Slide is fun, but challenging, and Rhythm Boxing is still a blast. I’m getting the hang of the Advanced Step, too, and Super Hula Hoop is proving a great workout. I’d like to get more time in on Bubble Balance, but the boy won’t let me.
