Dorothy A. Brown, 73, of Selbyville, Del., formerly of Midlothian, Va., passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at the Berlin Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Berlin, Md. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Ocean City, Md. and the Women’s Club of The Keenwicks.
Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew N. and Floy Moore Davis. She is survived by her husband, Donald H. Brown Sr.; her sons, George E. Giddings Jr. of Dunkirk, Md., Donald H. Brown Jr. of Washington, D.C., Andrew O. Brown of Hong Kong, China and Paul A. Brown of Powtan, Va.; her daughters, Donna Lee Brown Burnett of Dunnellon, Fla., Carol A. Bray of Richmond, Va., Donna Marie Cheseldine of Midlothian, Va. and Deborah A. Brown Haiber of Lauderhill, Fla.; three sisters, Marie Green of Virginia Beach, Va., Betty Kelly of Annapolis, Md. and Nancy Helton of Winchester, Va.; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, with interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro, Del. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 114 Baptist St., Salisbury, MD 21801.
