Emily C. Pachuta, 84

Emily C. Pachuta, 84, of Georgetown, Del., formerly of Millsboro, Del., and Baltimore, Md., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Harrison House in Georgetown, on Thursday, June 11, 2009. She was deeply devoted to her family and had always used the Blessed Mother as her example in raising her children. She was a member of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church in Millsboro. Throughout her lifetime, she enjoyed bowling, and she became an avid bingo player after becoming a resident of the Harrison House.

Pachuta was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen (Hartman) Dobry; her loving husband, John L. Pachuta Sr.; a brother, Joseph Dobry; two sisters, Marie Dobry and Helen Lawler; and a daughter-in-law, Rose Anna Pachuta. She is survived by two sons, John L. Pachuta Jr. of Kernersville, N.C., and Robert Michael Pachuta and his wife, Vicky, of Millsboro; four daughters, Emily Anne Leupold and her husband, Gary, of Lakeside, Ore., Catherine Anne Blair and her husband, David, of Berlin, Md., Deborah Anne Harrison and her husband, Mark, of Bel Air, Md., and Helen Anne Chullin and her husband, Millard Sr., of Millsboro; a brother, Charles Dobry of Baltimore, Md.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2009, with interment in Conley’s Chapel Cemetery, near Angola, Del. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Harrison Senior Living Resident Fund, 110 West North St., Georgetown, DE 19947; or to the American Heart Association, 777 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
