Fred R. Lucas, 57

Fred R. Lucas, 57, of Dover, Del., passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009, at home, surrounded by family. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam era. He was a truck driver for many years and loved to travel, fish and deer hunt, and enjoyed being surrounded by nature.

Lucas was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lena DePriest Lucas; and two brothers, Marshall and Clyde. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Libby J. Edwards Lucas; four brothers, James, Randl, Alvin and Harry; five sisters, Anna, Rosie, Virgie, Stephanie and Nancy; and a very close cousin, Barb.

Services and interment will be private.
