Frederick E. “Fred” Hudson, 84, of Bishopville, Md., passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake, Salisbury, Md. He had been a master carpenter, restoring homes for the Lewes Historical Society for more than 60 years. He was a member of the Millsboro VFW Post and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Hudson was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Flora Kissinger Hudson; and his wife, Adeline Hudson. He is survived by his brothers, Irvin W. Hudson of Ocean View, Del., and Robert Ebe Hudson of Melfa, Va.; his sisters, Gladys Williams of Dagsboro, Del., Ella Mae Tubbs of Delmar and Sallie A. Hudson of Laurel, Del.; and a sister-in-law, Kay Tingle of Bishopville, Md.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at noon at Hastings Funeral Home, 19 South Main Street, Selbyville, Del., where friends may call at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Bishopville, Md. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Lewes Historical Society, 110 Shipcarpenter St., Lewes, DE 19958; or Millsboro V.F.W. Post, P.O. Box 606, Millsboro, DE 19966.
