Madeline E. MeGee, 89

Madeline E. MeGee, 89, of Ocean View, Del., passed away Monday, June 15, 2009, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, Del. She was a retired production line worker for Arrow Safety Device in Georgetown, Del., and was a member of the VFW Post #7234 Ladies Auxiliary in Ocean View.

MeGee was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Maude (McCabe) Savage; her husband, Charles Harrison MeGee Sr.; her son, Charles Harrison MeGee Jr.; her brothers, Ollie, Edward, Luther, Carlton and Richard Savage; her sisters, Maude Savage, Mabel Lewis and Catherine Hudson. She is survived by her grandson, Keith MeGee; granddaughter, Kelly Stone; great-grandson, Jordan Tyler Cannon; sisters, Lilian Tingle, June Hickman and Shirley West; and a brother, William Savage.

A funeral service will be held Friday, June 19, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services on West Avenue, Ocean View, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Burial will be in St. George’s Cemetery, Clarksville, Del. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Millville Volunteer Fire Co., PO Box 64, Millville, DE 19970.
