Outstanding Indian--Jordan Marshall
Sophomore first-singles player Jordan Marshall has sat in the top position of the Indian River boys’ tennis roster for two consecutive seasons, and tallied one of his strongest showings this past week against Smyrna senior Matthew Fillman. Marshall picked up the win in the third set, going 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.

“Jordan did what I asked of him and improved on last year,” said head coach Paris Mitchell Jr. “This was Jordan’s first opponent who beat him last year that he came back to defeat. To date, it’s the biggest win as a high school player.
“Jordan’s a mixed bag,” he added. “He is very cool and doesn’t act like tennis is a big part of his life, but we realize it is. He brings an emotion to the court, and you can see he loves the game. Normally, he’s an all-business
