Pearl E. Davis, 95

Pearl E. Davis, 95, of Millsboro, Del., passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012, at her residence, in the care of her loving family.

Born Dec. 8, 1916, in Gumboro, Del., Davis was remembered as an adored Christian lady who loved the Lord, family reunions and dining out Friday evenings. She was known for her loving smile and was feisty, animated and easy to talk to. A highlight of Davis’ life was enjoying her 95th birthday with all of her family. She attended Millsboro Wesleyan Church.

Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Minnie Johnson Collins; her first husband, Delphia Parker, in 1976; a son, Robert; and a grandson, Greg, She is survived by her husband, Ernest Davis; a son, Vaughn Parker and his wife, Annie, of Georgetown, Del.; a daughter, Shirley Procurot and husband, Stephen, of Bradenton, Fla.; a stepson, Wayne Davis and his wife, Rosa, of Parsonsburg, Md.; step-daughters Rosemary and her husband, Tim, Wilma, Shirley and Susie and her husband, Lester; two brothers, Orville and Gerald; two sisters, Wilsie and Betty; a daughter-in-law, Frances Parker; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members, friends and Christian friends.

A funeral service was scheduled for April 18, 2012, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, Del., with interment at Millsboro Cemetery. Floral tributes are welcome, or in lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice, 28467 DuPont Blvd., Unit 6, Suite 6, Millsboro, DE 19966, or to Hickory Hill United Methodist Church, c/o Roy Rogers, 28209 Walt Carmean Ln., Millsboro, 19966.
