Delaware State Police are looking for a suspect, or suspects, who they say invaded a Frankford home on April 27 and stole a range of items, from a 1956 class ring to specialty Barbie dolls. Police officials issued a press release on May 9, nearly two weeks after the robbery, without a description of potential suspects.
State Police spokesman Cpl. Jeff Oldham said, though, that chances of an arrest are still good because, many times, suspects are caught trying to sell the lifted goods.
“We’re hoping maybe the stolen items will ring a bell with somebody,” Oldham said Tuesday.
The robbery occurred between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. three Fridays ago, at a home on the 37000 block of Hudson Road in Frankford, according to police. The residents there were at work at the time of the incident, Oldham said.
According to the release, the suspect pried a rear window open to enter and stole a 28.5 inch pearl necklace, a 1956 Sussex Central High School class ring with the initials KLH engraved upon it, a pink GameBoy, 20 DVDs of children’s movies, a Kodak digital camera and 15 specialty Barbie dolls.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is being urged to contact Delaware State Police detective Todd Seeney in Georgetown at (302) 856-5850, ext. 209, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
