SVFC to hold golf tourney fundraiser Oct. 11
The Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company Inc. will be holding its Sixth Annual Golf Tournament at the Cripple Creek Golf & Country Club in Dagsboro on Friday, Oct. 11, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
The tournament sold out last year, organizers noted. It is intended to raise funds to help defray the increased operational costs of the fire department. The format will be four- player team scrambles. The cost per foursome is $360, which and includes greens fees, cart, range balls, lunch, raffle prizes and beverage cart.
Sponsorships are also available. Lewes Automall of Lewes is sponsoring a Hole in One Challenge on Hole 7, to win a new GMC Sierra. A hole-in-one on any of the other Par 3s also wins prizes. Over the past five years, the tournament has seen holes-in-one on holes other than Hole 7.
The Award Luncheon Sponsors are: Bunting & Murray Construction, Murray Brothers Construction and Murray Sod. The Benefactor Sponsorship includes greens fees for a foursome, refreshments, lunch and recognition as a benefactor and a hole sponsorship (with their sign on a tee and green). Corporate Sponsorship includes greens fees for one, refreshments and lunch, plus recognition as a corporate sponsor and a hole sponsorship (their sign on a tee). Hole Sponsorship includes their sign on a tee. Raffle Prize Sponsorship can be a gift certificate or an item of the sponsor’s choice.
Player entry forms and sponsorship forms are available at the firehouse, many local retailers and at Lewes Automall. In addition, entry forms are available on the fire company website at www.selbyville88.com.
