Terry White Stahl, 71

Terry White Stahl, 71, of Dagsboro, Del. passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del.

Born June 22, 1940, Stahl graduated from Drexel University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical design, engineer specialization. His academic accomplishments included the research, development and design of the first microcircuit chips and a space project involving launching monkeys into outer space through General Electric.

Stahl’s personal accomplishments included his volunteer firefighting services with Louden Volunteer Fire Company, and he was co-founder of the first boys’ Little League in Atco, N.J. He was a friend of Bill W. for more than 36 years, and helped to establish the Silver Wings Motorcycle Club. He was an avid sportsman who thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors.

Stahl was preceded in death by his parents, Elsworth Stahl and Geraldine May (White) Stahl, and two brothers, Alan and Mark Stahl. He is survived by his companion of 12 years, Rita Razler; his brother, Larry Stahl and his wife, Patti; two daughters, Debra Stahl-Vernon and her husband, Gary S. Vernon, and Cynthia (Stahl) Manna; his son, Glenn Stahl and his wife, Audrey (Braun) Stahl; five grandchildren, Larry Masino, Brittany and Janelle Manna, and Jeannine and Brian Stahl; one great-grandchild, Victoria Masino; special friends Pat and Cathy Amend, and Ed and Helene McAvoy; many extended family members and friends; and his canine friend Briscoe.

All funeral arrangements were to be private. A celebration of life was planned for his birthday in June at Berlin Baptist Church in Berlin, N.J. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorial contributions to the American Lung Association; 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Suite 800; Washington, DC 20004.
